Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Young lady with a garden beyond by Konstantin Somov was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,605.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Konstantin Somov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Boxer in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 713,250.00 (€ 832,646.34).

Die Arbeit Young lady with a garden beyond von Konstantin Somov wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.605,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Konstantin Somov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Boxer im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 713.250,00 (€ 832.646,34).
