Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work The artist's bedroom in St Petersburg by Konstantin Somov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,428.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Konstantin Somov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Boxer in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 713,250.00 (€ 832,646.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The artist's bedroom in St Petersburg von Konstantin Somov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.428,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Konstantin Somov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Boxer im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 713.250,00 (€ 832.646,34).
