Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Profile by Kolade Oshinowo. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,933.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kolade Oshinowo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sisters in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 13,812.50 (€ 15,337.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profile von Kolade Oshinowo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.933,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kolade Oshinowo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sisters im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.812,50 (€ 15.337,60).
