Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Blue abstract by Kolade Oshinowo for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,478.91). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kolade Oshinowo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 13,812.50 (€ 15,337.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Blue abstract von Kolade Oshinowo für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.478,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kolade Oshinowo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sisters im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.812,50 (€ 15.337,60).
