Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Koma Village Ii by Kolade Oshinowo. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,596.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kolade Oshinowo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sisters, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 13,812.50 (€ 15,337.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Koma Village Ii von Kolade Oshinowo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.596,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kolade Oshinowo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sisters beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 13.812,50 (€ 15.337,60) versteigert wurde.
