In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Bathing Beauties by Knut Ekwall. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,976.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Knut Ekwall have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2009 the work Swedish The Chess Game was auctioned for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.976,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Knut Ekwall konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2009 die Arbeit Swedish The Chess Game für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.734,66) versteigert.
