Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An elk in a winter landscape by Knut Ekwall was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,654.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Knut Ekwall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swedish The Chess Game in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66).

Die Arbeit An elk in a winter landscape von Knut Ekwall kam im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.654,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Knut Ekwall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swedish The Chess Game im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.734,66).
