Auction result fails to reach estimate
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Three Royal Copenhagen stoneware figures in the shape of bears, decorated with Sung glaze by Knud Kyhn for DKK 1,200.00 (€ 1,048.77). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 2,500.00 estimate set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Knud Kyhn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eiders flying over the sea, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 2,500.00 (€ 2,184.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Three Royal Copenhagen stoneware figures in the shape of bears, decorated with Sung glaze von Knud Kyhn für DKK 1.200,00 (€ 1.048,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Knud Kyhn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eiders flying over the sea beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 2.500,00 (€ 2.184,93) versteigert wurde.
