Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Three stoneware figures modelled in the shape of an elephant, a bear and a beer with cub by Knud Kyhn was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,750.00 (€ 234.71). Admittedly, works by Knud Kyhn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eiders flying over the sea in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 2,500.00 (€ 2,184.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Three stoneware figures modelled in the shape of an elephant, a bear and a beer with cub von Knud Kyhn im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.750,00 (€ 234,71) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Knud Kyhn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eiders flying over the sea im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 2.500,00 (€ 2.184,93).
