Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Knox Martin was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,486.80). Admittedly, works by Knox Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,675.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Knox Martin kam im Juli 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.486,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Knox Martin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.675,74).
