In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Beach At Scheveningen, With Elegantly-Dressed Figures, And Fishermen Selling Their Catch by Claes Molenaer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,710.00 (€ 11,809.52), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Claes Molenaer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Waterfall In A Mountainous River Landscape in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,471.46).

Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Beach At Scheveningen, With Elegantly-Dressed Figures, And Fishermen Selling Their Catch von Claes Molenaer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 11.809,52) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claes Molenaer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Waterfall In A Mountainous River Landscape im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.471,46).
