Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,541.84), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claes Molenaer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Waterfall In A Mountainous River Landscape in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,471.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fishermen With Their Catch On The Beach von Claes Molenaer wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.541,84) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claes Molenaer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Waterfall In A Mountainous River Landscape im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.471,46).
