Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waterdrops SH 83003 by Kim Tschang-Yeul was sold in the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 264,219.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim Tschang-Yeul - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Csh I, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,041,221.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waterdrops SH 83003 von Kim Tschang-Yeul wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 226.800,00 (€ 264.219,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kim Tschang-Yeul mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Csh I beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.041.221,09) versteigert wurde.
