Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Untitled, 1978 by Kim Lim was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,285.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Lim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,618.25).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1978 von Kim Lim wurde im Juli 2013 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.285,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Lim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.618,25).
