Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Poongkyung by Kim Jong Ku for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,792.44). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 140,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Kim Jong Ku have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Steel Powder Paintings in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 343,500.00 (€ 28,279.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Poongkyung von Kim Jong Ku für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.792,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 140.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kim Jong Ku auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Steel Powder Paintings im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 343.500,00 (€ 28.279,15).
