Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kim Duck Yong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Reminiscence sold for HKD 216,000.00 (€ 21,695.94) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 85,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kim Duck Yong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Time Together sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Duck Yong erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Reminiscence für HKD 216.000,00 (€ 21.695,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 85.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kim Duck Yong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Time Together im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 391.500,00 (€ 32.230,82).
