In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Girl playing harp by Kim Duck Yong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 114,000.00 (€ 12,473.28), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim Duck Yong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Time Together, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82).

Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl playing harp von Kim Duck Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 114.000,00 (€ 12.473,28) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kim Duck Yong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Time Together beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 391.500,00 (€ 32.230,82) versteigert wurde.
