Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Military Macaws by Kim Brooks was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. The price achieved of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim Brooks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dawn Patrol, which sold at auction in February this year for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,301.95).

Die Arbeit Military Macaws von Kim Brooks kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.784,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kim Brooks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dawn Patrol beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.301,95) versteigert wurde.
