Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jewels of the Pantanal by Kim Brooks was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,641.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim Brooks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dawn Patrol, which sold at auction in February this year for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,301.95).
