Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Lost in a Subtle Metaphor, 2016 by Kiley Ames for USD 382.50 (€ 356.44). This price was achieved in the auction The Art of _Supporting The Laurel Foundation at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kiley Ames - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work It was a Mystery All Insoluble, 2016, which sold at auction in January 2024 for USD 1,024.00 (€ 894.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lost in a Subtle Metaphor, 2016 von Kiley Ames für USD 382,50 (€ 356,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Art of _Supporting The Laurel Foundation bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kiley Ames mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit It was a Mystery All Insoluble, 2016 beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für USD 1.024,00 (€ 894,95) versteigert wurde.
