Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Series: The Celebration of Red Tulips) by Khadim Ali was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,442.50 (€ 4,110.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Khadim Ali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Rustam Series), which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,704.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Series: The Celebration of Red Tulips) von Khadim Ali kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.442,50 (€ 4.110,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Khadim Ali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Rustam Series) beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.704,08) versteigert wurde.
