This artwork by Kevin Kallaugher achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer auction, the work Mrs Thatcher’S Cabinet sold for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,277.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kevin Kallaugher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Thatcher Mirrors Herself On De Gaulle, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,981.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kevin Kallaugher erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer wurde die Arbeit Mrs Thatcher’S Cabinet für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.277,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kevin Kallaugher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Thatcher Mirrors Herself On De Gaulle beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.981,18) versteigert wurde.
