This artwork by Kenyon C. Cox achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2007. In the The House Sale auction, the work Allegory sold for USD 3,360.00 (€ 2,450.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenyon C. Cox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hope And Memory in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 51,000.00 (€ 38,133.69).

Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hope And Memory im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.000,00 (€ 38.133,69).
