Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Guidon by Kenneth Riley was sold in the Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection auction at Christies in New York in May 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,232.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kenneth Riley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Canyon Scout in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 106,250.00 (€ 91,225.21).
