Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection, which included the work Profiles by Kenneth Riley. The price achieved of USD 50,312.50 (€ 42,637.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kenneth Riley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Canyon Scout, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 106,250.00 (€ 91,225.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profiles von Kenneth Riley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.312,50 (€ 42.637,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Riley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Canyon Scout beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 106.250,00 (€ 91.225,21) versteigert wurde.
