Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Outer Circle (Regent’S Park) by Kenneth Hall. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,930.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kenneth Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boats, which sold at auction in September 2018 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,039.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Outer Circle (Regent’S Park) von Kenneth Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.930,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boats beobachtet, die im September 2018 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.039,11) versteigert wurde.
