Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Young Glasgow Welder by Ken Currie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2015. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,804.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Currie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fatherland, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70).
