A top price for Ken Currie
When the work Fatherland by Ken Currie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 1,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 29 times as high at GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70). This high result makes Fatherland the most expensive artwork by Ken Currie that we have observed at auctions so far.
