Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Howl With The Wolves by Ken Currie. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Currie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fatherland, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Howl With The Wolves von Ken Currie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.189,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ken Currie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fatherland beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.620,70) versteigert wurde.
