Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Man Hallucinating II by Ken Currie was sold in the Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2012. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,875.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Currie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fatherland in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Man Hallucinating II von Ken Currie wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Currie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fatherland im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.620,70).
