Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gallowgate Man With Torpedo Shrapnel by Ken Currie was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2015. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,546.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ken Currie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fatherland in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70).
