Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tree of Life by Keith Haring was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,940,532.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Haring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tree of Life von Keith Haring kam im Juli 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.940.532,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73) versteigert wurde.
