Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Self Portrait by Kees van Bohemen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kees van Bohemen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Red Painting in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self Portrait von Kees van Bohemen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees van Bohemen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Red Painting im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
