Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Online | Hong Kong, which included the work Dior X Kaws Bff Pink And Black Plush Dolls (Two Works) by Kaws. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,145.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dior X Kaws Bff Pink And Black Plush Dolls (Two Works) von Kaws zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.145,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
