Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Kawano Kaoru for USD 176.25 (€ 202.19). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kawano Kaoru - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in September 2006 for GBP 420.00 (€ 619.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unknown von Kawano Kaoru für USD 176,25 (€ 202,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 400,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kawano Kaoru mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im September 2006 für GBP 420,00 (€ 619,59) versteigert wurde.
