Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (From Poughkeepsie Journal) by Katy Grannan was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,158.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katy Grannan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Anonymous, Los Angeles, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.158,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Katy Grannan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Anonymous, Los Angeles beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68) versteigert wurde.
