The work Calling by Katsuyo Aoki was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. It achieved a price of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,707.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katsuyo Aoki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Skull, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 16,772.75).

Die Arbeit Calling von Katsuyo Aoki wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.707,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Katsuyo Aoki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Skull beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 16.772,75) versteigert wurde.
