This work without title by Katsura Funakoshi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,138.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katsura Funakoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Map of Water in May this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 118,265.44).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Katsura Funakoshi kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.138,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katsura Funakoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Map of Water im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 118.265,44).
