Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Aqui by Katherine Gili. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,592.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Katherine Gili have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Tempracata was auctioned for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,948.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aqui von Katherine Gili zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.592,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Katherine Gili konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Tempracata für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.948,18) versteigert.
