Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boat Dock by Katherine Bradford was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 69,850.00 (€ 65,995.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katherine Bradford - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Swimmer, 4 Lifeguards, which sold at auction in November this year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 138,613.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boat Dock von Katherine Bradford wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 69.850,00 (€ 65.995,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Katherine Bradford mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Swimmer, 4 Lifeguards beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 138.613,86) versteigert wurde.
