Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sylphides by Kate Nicholson was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,252.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kate Nicholson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quarry Beck, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,790.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sylphides von Kate Nicholson wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.252,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Kate Nicholson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quarry Beck beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.790,30) versteigert wurde.
