Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mantle by Kate Nicholson was sold in the 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,424.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kate Nicholson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quarry Beck, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,790.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mantle von Kate Nicholson wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.424,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kate Nicholson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quarry Beck beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.790,30) versteigert wurde.
