Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Tailpiece to Kate Greenaway's Under the Window (illustrated); and Study of a house and chickens by Kate Greenaway. The price achieved of GBP 475.00 (€ 571.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kate Greenaway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study of a young girl in a garden, a border of nasturtiums and other plants beyond in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,449.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tailpiece to Kate Greenaway's Under the Window (illustrated); and Study of a house and chickens von Kate Greenaway zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 475,00 (€ 571,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kate Greenaway erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study of a young girl in a garden, a border of nasturtiums and other plants beyond im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.365,00 (€ 12.449,63).
