Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Charles Higgins, the artist's husband, seated full-length, in Highland dress by Kate Elizabeth Olver for GBP 600.00 (€ 891.14). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kate Elizabeth Olver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Nursery in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 22,455.70).
