Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Joy, the artist's neice, seated half-length, in a lilac dress by Kate Elizabeth Olver for GBP 600.00 (€ 883.13). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kate Elizabeth Olver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Nursery in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 22,455.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of Joy, the artist's neice, seated half-length, in a lilac dress von Kate Elizabeth Olver für GBP 600,00 (€ 883,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kate Elizabeth Olver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Nursery im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.340,00 (€ 22.455,70).
