Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Daily activities in a Dutch fishing village by Kasparus Karsen. The price achieved of EUR 13,145.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kasparus Karsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of Katwijk village with the Groot Badhotel in the background, which sold at auction in April 2003 for EUR 45,410.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Daily activities in a Dutch fishing village von Kasparus Karsen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.145,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kasparus Karsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A view of Katwijk village with the Groot Badhotel in the background beobachtet, die im April 2003 für EUR 45.410,00 versteigert wurde.
