Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Turkey In The Straw by Karl Knaths. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,665.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Knaths have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lilacs in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,000.00 (€ 23,500.14).
