In September 2009 Christies in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Bar Room by Karl Knaths. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,524.95), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Karl Knaths have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 34,000.00 (€ 23,500.14) in October 2007 for the work Lilacs.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bar Room von Karl Knaths zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.524,95) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Karl Knaths haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.000,00 (€ 23.500,14) im Oktober 2007 für die Arbeit Lilacs beobachtet.
