Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Night scene; and a companion painting by Karl Herman Baumann. The price achieved of USD 937.50 (€ 665.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Herman Baumann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Memories, which sold at auction in December 2021 for USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,464.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night scene; and a companion painting von Karl Herman Baumann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 937,50 (€ 665,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Herman Baumann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Memories beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.464,48) versteigert wurde.
