This artwork by Karl Gerstner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Zurich (Online) in September 2020. In the Swiss Art Online Sale auction, the work CS 28A Extra Version (Entwurf) sold for CHF 8,125.00 (€ 7,546.03) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 3,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Karl Gerstner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Metachromes Diptychon (Chromorphose 1.03/1.04) sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of EUR 14,131.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karl Gerstner erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in Zürich (Online) einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Swiss Art Online Sale wurde die Arbeit CS 28A Extra Version (Entwurf) für CHF 8.125,00 (€ 7.546,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 3.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Karl Gerstner; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Metachromes Diptychon (Chromorphose 1.03/1.04) im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 14.131,00.
